Disclaimer
What this site promises, and what it does not.
Prices, timings and example jobs on these pages describe how the work usually goes. None of it is a guarantee. Here is the honest boundary. Last updated 18 October 2026.
Prices on this site
This site publishes no price list on purpose. Any figure you hear before a technician has seen the lock, the door or the vehicle is an indication based on your description, nothing more.
The binding price is the one given to you on site, in person, before any tool is touched. If it has moved from what you were told on the phone, it is because the job in front of us is not the job that was described, and you will hear why before anything starts. You can refuse that price and owe nothing.
The 20 to 30 minutes
Where this site says 20 to 30 minutes, it describes what usually happens from our side of the Bay. It is not a guarantee and we will not pretend otherwise to win the booking.
Traffic on the bridges, the hour, where the nearest van actually is and the job before yours all move that number. When you call, you get the realistic figure for that moment rather than the figure that sounds best.
What the pages describe
The services, neighborhoods and example jobs on this site describe work this company has carried out. They describe the past. They are not a promise that your job will take the same time, need the same parts or cost the same amount.
Lock hardware, vehicle makes and model years all behave differently, and two doors that look identical can take very different work. Where a page explains how something usually goes, usually is the operative word.
Please do not try it yourself
Nothing here is a method. The pages explain what a job involves so you can judge whether a price is fair, not so you can attempt it on your own door, your own ignition or anybody else's.
Forcing a lock, drilling a cylinder or prying a car door causes expensive damage and injuries, and on a vehicle it can set off systems that cost far more to reset than the original job. If you are reading this because you were about to try, call instead.
Proof of ownership
We open property for the person entitled to it. Identification and proof of ownership or tenancy are asked for on every lockout, every rekey and every vehicle, without exception and without apology.
Nothing on this site should be read as an offer to open a door, a safe or a vehicle for somebody who cannot show they are entitled to be inside it.
Licensing and insurance
San Fran Locksmith holds California Locksmith Company license 7237, issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, and carries insurance. The number is published so you can check it against the State register yourself rather than take our word for it.
A license covers the company. It is not a promise about any particular outcome on any particular lock.
Links and third parties
Where this site links out, to the State license register, to a review profile, to a manufacturer or to a map, we do not control those pages and are not responsible for what they say or whether it is current.
This site uses Google Analytics, which is described in full in the privacy policy.
